So big news today on Apple Hot News, here is the beginning of what’s announced:
Let me just say it: We want native third party applications on the iPhone, and we plan to have an SDK in developers’ hands in February. We are excited about creating a vibrant third party developer community around the iPhone and enabling hundreds of new applications for our users. So tonight I found a great article on the MacObserver. John Martellaro is describing in a non geek way what is the equivalent of the latest Software update for the iPhone (1.1.1) and how it will translate in the car world.I think this is a good read and provide a good explanation on why Apple did warn users prior to the update, and why Apple at least now is not providing an SDK. I think an SDK will be coming (WWDC’08 ?) but Apple want to be sure that it will work on the iPhone nicely. It’s all about the experience and Apple want probably to show the example first.

Don’t you think that if the iPhone was a failure the price drop will have been making so much news? It shows that the iPhone owner care about their product and the user based is large, I was hoping that Steve will drop some real numbers on the total iPhones sold since july 1st Continue reading »
